Data Deletion
You can ask us to delete your data at any time, for any reason, and we will. There is no fee and you do not have to explain why. This page tells you exactly how, and what happens after.
Disconnect an Instagram account
You have two ways to do this, and you do not need our permission for either.
- Remove our access yourself, from Instagram. On Instagram, open Settings → Website permissions → Apps and websites, find the InstaForge app, and remove it. Our access ends immediately. You do not have to tell us first.
- Ask us. Email ceo@kitfire.ai from the address you signed up with, with the Instagram handle you want disconnected. We will revoke and destroy the access token and confirm by reply.
Either way, within 30 days we delete the Instagram data we held for that account: the access token, the profile and media records, the comments and mentions we handled, the direct message history we managed on your behalf, and the analytics we stored for reporting.
Delete everything else
To have your whole customer record deleted — intake and signup information, correspondence, and anything else we hold — email ceo@kitfire.ai with the subject Delete my data, from the address you signed up with. We will confirm we received it within 3 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days.
What we may have to keep
We will tell you plainly if anything is held back and why. There are only two reasons:
- Records the law requires. Invoices and payment records are retained as long as tax and accounting law requires. We cannot delete these on request.
- Payment details we never had. Card data is held by our payment processor, not by us, so we cannot delete it — ask them directly, or your bank.
Nothing else is withheld, and we never charge a fee for deletion.
What deletion does not undo
Posts already published to your own Instagram account belong to you and stay on your account — deleting our records does not remove your posts. If you also want those taken down, say so and we will delete them before we disconnect, or you can delete them yourself at any time.
